A novel does not have to fit into a rigid classification. Its prose can have a rhythm. It can be about something. It can use metaphor and symbolism and be read on different levels from differing perspectives. It can have humor and drama and be political and philosophical. It can make you laugh and make you cry. It can make you happy and make you angry. It can make you think.

Sagittarius

Aliens live in a Manhattan apartment posing as humans and must decide on humanity’s fate. Comedic and serious story threads are woven around each other as they face both alien and human obstacles. Concepts whirl together in the form of sex, apple strudel, telekinesis, violence, dogs, Rill of Death, Skier’s Heaven, Groupism, New Jersey, family, galactic empire building, hate groups, magic, Sagittarius, technology, Mind Space Time, working in Manhattan, picking up girls in singles bars and the destiny of humanity.

About the author

Donald Paul West lives with his son Danny and dog Rocket in beautiful Telluride Colorado, nestled on the Western Slope of the Rockies in Southwest Colorado. When he is not writing or doing mathematics, you might spot him skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, dirt biking, hiking, working out in the local gym, or doing any of the other things mountain living allows; like secret meetings in the mountains with Zygorians that are usually witnessed only by the bears and porcupines.
